Happy 2025!

May this year bring you strength, resilience, and the determination to set ambitious goals and work towards achieving them.

As we embark on this new journey, let’s focus on developing plans in various essential areas: Spiritual, Health and Fitness, Family, Financial, Career, Intellectual, and Social.

Four Basic Needs

Like a 4-cylinder engine, humans have four basic needs that contribute to our overall well-being:

  1. Spiritual: Seek God, pray, and feed yourself spiritually through activities like Bible study.
  2. Intellectual: Challenge your mind by reading non-fiction, educating yourself, and never stopping your learning journey.
  3. Physical: Health is wealth—take care of your body by eating right and exercising regularly.
  4. Emotional: Socialize, love, share, and participate. Seek help if you are hurting, and get advice or counseling as needed.

Health & Fitness

Your most important goal in life should be to stay alive and healthy. When you are fit physically and mentally, you will find it easier to function well in other areas.

Example Goals:

  • Walk 5000 steps a day
  • Engage in 10 minutes of physical activity daily
  • Perform 10/10/10 pushups, jumping jacks, sit-ups, or any other exercise

Personal & Spiritual

Personal goals help you become a better version of yourself, now or in the future. They include activities and plans aimed at personal development, spiritual growth, or educational advancement.

Example Goals:

  • Maintain regular sleeping habits: sleep by 11 pm, wake up at 4:30 or 5 am
  • Pray and study the Bible for 15 to 30 minutes

Family

Family goals focus on strengthening family bonds and creating a harmonious home environment. These goals emphasize spending quality time together, fostering communication, and supporting each other’s growth and happiness.

Example Goals:

  • Spend more time with your spouse, have date nights
  • Commit to spending 30 minutes of uninterrupted time with kids daily, allowing them to lead the activities

Financial

Financial goals aim to maximize earnings and control spending to build long-term financial security. Most of us could be earning more and spending less, so setting financial goals helps us achieve stability and growth.

Example Goals:

  • Participate in “no spend” month challenges, only spending on essentials (home, food, utilities, transportation, insurance)
  • Save a specific amount monthly
  • Pay off all credit card debt

Career & Education

Career and education goals enhance professional growth and academic achievement. Continuously set career goals to reflect your professional vision and advance your career.

Example Goals:

  • Increase job performance metrics
  • Develop your communication and leadership skills

Social

Social goals fall under emotional well-being, ensuring a balanced and fulfilling social life.

Example Goals:

  • Attend social gatherings
  • Volunteer in your community

Long-Term Goals

A long-term goal is an objective you aim to achieve in the future, requiring steps to be taken now. These goals typically have a broader scope and need more time to accomplish. Long-term goals can encompass personal achievements, family aspirations, career advancements, business objectives, health improvements, and more.

Example Goals:

  • Learn to speak a second language fluently
  • Pay off your mortgage in 10 years

Lifetime Goals

Lifetime goals are those you aspire to achieve throughout your life. They are deeply connected to your dreams, vision, and purpose, and can be pursued at any stage—whether in early adulthood, middle age, or later years. There are no limits to what you can strive to accomplish over your lifetime.

Example Goals:

  • Solve a major world problem such as hunger, security, or waste management
